Quand et où?

Congrès de la Fédération canadienne dessciences humaines 2009, le 26 mai 2009 à l’Université de Carleton à Ottawa.

L'Atelier:

Le Centre canadien de recherche partenariale en économie sociale (CCRPES) et le Centre canadien d’économiesociale (CCES) organiseront un atelier étudiant international sur l'économiesociale, intitulé « Innovation et durabilité dans un monde en changement : Exploration des alternatives offertespar l'économie sociale », destiné à rassembler les étudiants intéressés parl’exploration de solutions alternatives offertes par l'économie sociale àtravers le monde et à mettre l’accent sur le rôle de l'économie sociale dans lerenforcement et la construction des communautés par l'innovation et la durabilité.

Par le biais de présentations, de tables rondes et de discussions en petits groupes, cet atelier abordera lesdébats en cours et les débats nouveaux, les idées, les points de vue et des défisliés à l'économie sociale, la société civile, le développement, le secteur nonlucratif, les coopératives, l'entreprise communautaire et les modèles d’entreprisesalternatives dans les contextes canadien, international, interculturel etcomparatif à travers une gamme des disciplines.

L’objectif principal est le réseautage des étudiant(e)s au Canada en leur offrant un moment de réflexions sur les enjeux de l’économie sociale. La journée se terminera sur un atelier créatif où les connaissances en économie sociale seront présentées d’une manière alternative (ex : vidéo, peintures, etc.), ce que Neil nomme « Alternatives ways of knowledge ».

Programme de la journée
8:00-9:00 Registration for the event. The registration will take place through Survey Monkey. Coffee and Muffins will be served during this time and door prize tickets will be handed out.
9:00-9:30 Welcoming introductions: Neil will speak explain what the day will consist of what we can expect from the conference.
-Presenter(s) offering their definition of the social economy - Janel?
-Representatives of CASC or ANSER discussing their role in the social economy
This will be used to create a foundation, inform and create a common understanding of what is meant by the term the Social Economy
9:30-10:30 First student presentation sessions
Student Presentations will be a round table style - the presentation sessions will consist of 4-10 minute (maximum) presentations. The four presentations will be followed by a 2 minute round table discussion. Presenters are encouraged to focus their presentation on key theoretical concepts in their research and methodology.
10:30-11:00 First intermission
11:00–12:00 Second student presentation session
12:00-1:30 Lunch banquet: Keynote speaker Ted Jackson
1:30- 2:30 Third student presentation session
2 :30 Closing Activity: an interactive activity so students can situate themselves in the social economy while also getting to know each other and break the ice. Here the door prizes will be given out also. Melanie will present here, and talk about what has been done in Quebec Social Economy for Students. Also offers propositions of idea for activities which are going to take place. This will help students create what is going to take place in the future.
